A Bristol web design studio for small businesses.

I am Elliott Greenman. I grew up in Wiltshire, not far from Bristol, and have lived and worked in Bristol for more than ten years. I started E.G. to build good websites for small businesses at a price they can afford. Most of my clients are sole traders, trades, clinics, coaches and charities. They do not need a six-week discovery phase or an account manager. They need a clear, fast website that looks professional, shows up on Google and is easy to update.

What I like most about the work is the start of it. Before anything gets designed I want to understand the business: what it does, who it is for, how the industry works and what the owner cares about. The best part of any project is the conversation where someone explains what they do and why, and their face lights up. That is where the website comes from. Everything I build is an attempt to put that on the screen for the people they want to reach.

I work on WordPress for brochure sites and on Shopify for online shops. I like working directly with the person who runs the business: one conversation, a fixed quote, a preview link while the site comes together, and a short video at the end showing you how to edit it yourself.

Most of my clients are in Bristol and Bath, with others across the UK and a few further afield in Ireland, Switzerland, Morocco and the US. In Bristol that includes Albion Roofing, J Vincent Lofts, Touchwood Play and Nulectrics, who cover Bristol from Chippenham. They are all on the websites for Bristol businesses page, and the trades among them on websites for builders and trades in Bristol. Everything happens by call and email.

After launch I stay involved. Many clients keep their site on my hosting and a care plan, which is why so much of the work on this site is for people I have worked with for years. More than 60 projects are written up as case studies, and clients rate the studio 4.9 on Google.
