An artist’s website has a short list of jobs: show the work at its best, say who you are, make it easy to get in touch or buy, and be simple enough to update every time something new is finished. The work leads and the design stays out of its way.
No Nothing Records is a record label whose site is black type and black and white photographs, with a page for every artist that the label adds itself. Natalia Atkins is a film and branded content producer whose portfolio puts the films first. Crown Wedding Videos is a boutique wedding film studio. John Brown Projects is an architecture and interiors studio with its work grouped as Art, Commercial and Residential. Miles Watson and Urban Eye are a London painter and the public art charity he founded, and Heartbreakers Club produces nightlife events.
Most of these run on WordPress so the owner can add new work from a phone. If you want to sell prints or originals, a shop can sit on the same site with WooCommerce, or on Shopify if you have more than a handful of products. See ecommerce and Shopify and budget websites for what each includes.

How it works.
Questions.
- Yes. New pieces, projects or artists are added from the WordPress dashboard, on a phone if you want. No Nothing Records adds each new artist this way and the site creates the page and the homepage slot for them.
- Yes. A shop can be part of the same site with WooCommerce, or run on Shopify if you have a larger range. Payments, delivery and stock are set up and tested before launch.
- Yes. Images are resized and converted to modern formats when you upload them, so they look sharp on a large screen and load quickly on a phone. You upload the full file and the site does the rest.
- Squarespace is fine if you want to build it yourself from a template. WordPress suits you if you want a design made around your work, no monthly builder fee, and a site you own outright and can move anywhere.
- Yes. We are a Bristol studio and work with artists and creative businesses in Bristol and across the UK, in person or by call and email.
- Budget websites come in under £500, and many under £300 including hosting for the first year. A portfolio with a shop gets a fixed quote before work starts, and the cost calculator gives a guide price.
